SACRAMENTS

Baptism
The parish welcomes children in Baptism at a weekend liturgy. Parents meet with Deacon Pat Cunningham prior to Baptism of their children to prepare.

Reconciliation
The parish gathers before Christmas and Easter for the Communal Reconciliation Services. Individuals can also celebrate the sacrament on Saturdays between 4-5PM .

Eucharist
The weekend liturgies are Saturday 5:30 p.m., Sunday 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. The liturgy or a communion service is scheduled Tuesday through Friday at 8:00 a.m.

Sacrament of the Sick
This sacrament is celebrated in the fall and in the spring in the church followed by celebrating the sacrament in the homes of those unable to come to the church. Anyone can request the sacrament as needed.

Marriage
Couples contact the pastor at least 6 months prior to their marriage to begin a final preparation. Several couples in the parish assist the engaged couples in their preparation.

Confirmation
Students are confirmed in October of their junior year. The preparation begins during the Grade 9 school year.

The preparation and celebration of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist usually happen in December and May of the Grade 2 school year. However, preparation materials are available for children not in Grade 2.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)
Adults can begin the process of preparing for the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at any time during the year by calling the parish office. Adults are typically baptized or make a confession of faith at the Easter Vigil. However, the preparation starts whenever people ask to begin this journey and the sacraments are celebrated when they are ready. Many people in the parish assist the RCIA team in this ministry.
