Securing Our Vision of Service for the Future

Our parish is now embarking upon a new phase of our capital campaign to pay off our loan from the diocese, and fix a leaking roof on the daycare building and activity center that desperately needs replacing. Father Ken has laid out his case for all of us to take part in doing what we can to pay off our debt and make the parish facilities the best they can be. You can read his letter that was mailed out to the parish HERE. Please pray for our parish as we enter this capital campaign.

Basic Catholic Beliefs Class Returns

Father Ken will be offering his Basic Catholic Beliefs Class again starting on Sunday, January 5th. The classes take place in the Parish Activity Center at Little Flower and are free of charge. This session's classes will take place on Sundays from 1PM-3PM. There is no charge for the classes, but you are encouraged to register so we can provide class materials for you. Come and learn about the Catholic faith -- the classes are open to all, Little Flower parishioners or not, Catholic or not. The registration form can be accessed HERE. You can also register online quickly by clicking HERE.

Parish Office Job Openings at Little Flower

The parish has openings for two individuals to fill their secretarial and bookkeeping positions.  Both part-time positions, up to 30 hours/week, include benefits and require individuals who are active in their faith, have good communication, time management and organizational skills, prior office experience, and a strong knowledge of computer programs.

The secretarial position will include receptionist duties, communicating with the publications staff, preparations of the church for weekend liturgies, maintaining sacramental, membership and offertory records, and a variety of duties that come up during the year in support of the pastor and parish ministries.

The bookkeeping position will include accounts payable, managing bank accounts, generating financial reports, working closely with the Parish Finance Council, helping prepare the annual budget and other administrative duties in support of the pastor as needed.  Ideally, the two individuals hired would cross train and share some common duties.

For more information, or to drop off a resume or fill out an application, please contact Linda at the Parish Office at 838-1520.
